Cicadas and Healers and Business

Hi, this is Sherry Bowers with connected spirit.com. And I want to do something a little different today.

I was reading, have you read about the cicadas in North America, we have an insect called a cicada. And they’re sort of unique because they spend a great portion of their lifetime, underground in their nymph stage.

And then they, depending on the species, they emerge out at different times, and shed their skins, develop wings, and then move up into the trees and make just a really loud, loud buzzing noise when they sing.

So I was reading about them. And I realized that this year, is sort of a big deal, because it’s the 17-year brood. They’re called broods, the different species and this particular one spent 17 years underground. And then they come out in force. And they’re due to come out this year, and make a very, very loud racket, but it’s nice.

And they’re only here from April till June. So we’re kind of, you know, I’ve been watching and there’s websites up that are tracking the emergence of the cicadas for this year.

But it made me think, how many of us in the healing professions or spiritual niches have spent so many years sort of underground, afraid to show who we are, afraid to show that in our business, afraid to move into business in some of these areas.

And, you know, I got looking at this wonderful example of emerging and becoming who you are. And I think, you know, the timing of this is divine.

You know, they only come out 17 years, every 17 years. And this is a very, very powerful year astrologically, and energy-wise.

And to me, it just really struck me as an invitation for all of us to come out and play, come out and sing. So it made me kind of think, Alright, how can I help? How can I help you move out, step out, and make it fun and make it enjoyable and help you sing.

So I’ve got a project in the works, it’s almost ready to come out, but not just not quite yet. So be on the watch for my next email, because this could be just what you need to help you come out and sing. So with that, I will let you go with that little, little teaser.

And oh, and the other thing that that was so neat about this to me, is that this species, their name is Magicicada. And if you look at it printed out, the beginning of it says magic. So I think the cicadas are bringing us a little bit of magic this year!
