One of the favorite ways my intuition speaks to me is through music and song.
My nightly routine before I fall asleep is to review my day with my focus on what I am grateful for, then say my prayers and finally I ask that the divine provide me with the guidance I need.
Frequently, I awaken in the morning with a song playing in my head and my physical body feeling energized and very peaceful. I have learned that when this happens, the lyrics of the song contain the answer or message that I need.
This morning was such a morning….and the song was “Unwritten” by Natsha Bedinfield. The chorus to her song was my message….
Staring at the blank page before you
Open up the dirty window
Let the sun illuminate the words that you could not find
Reaching for something in the distance
So close you can almost taste it
Release your inhibitions
Feel the rain on your skin
No one else can feel it for you
Only you can let it in
No one else, no one else
Can speak the words on your lips
Drench yourself in words unspoken
Live your life with arms wide open
Today is where your book begins
The rest is still unwritten.
You see, I have been provided with the opportunity to contribute a chapter to a book that will be coming out in the near future entitled “Today is Your Day”, and I have been struggling a bit with the process. I had asked for some guidance. And I must add, I am no longer in my twenties, this artist is not one I frequently listen too nor have I heard this play on the radio recently. But never the less, here was her song playing loud and clear in my head as I started my day.
How fitting!
Plus when you think about it….isn’t each of us “Unwritten”, with each day our “Blank Page”?
My wish for you today is to “Live your life with arms wide open. Today is where your book begins. The rest is still unwritten.”
Wishing you Your Intuitive Best!
